Why I came to Islam... As we are blessed with a mind, it ponders and wanders, and there is no doubt that questions will eventually come up. So we as humans, living in a world so complicated with other human beings and resources, start questioning why things are, the way they are. For me when going through tough times found a lot of peace in my religion. It was the confusion and unreasonable aspects of this world that brought me closer to Islam. Eventually, I finally came to see that Islam was the only thing that made sense for me and answered a lot of questions. When there was injustice in wordly affairs, then justice was given from the religion along with explanations. Just as I might hurt a friend or peer, they might do the very same to me. Hence, human beings are bound to hurt each other because they all act the same way. Putting all trust, faith and reason in a human being will eventually lead to disappointment. Considering another being more superior to you when they are equal to you doesn't make much sense either. So there must be something above me that deserves my love, trust and time. And that is Allah (Swt). One of the biggest advantages to keeping religion in your life is the peace a heart acquires when it comes to know how minute it is, comparing to the greatness of it's lord. My road to Islam came in a good time for me (many might say that), and the most exciting part is that there is so much to learn, that it has so many answers for me as a human being that my faith can only continue to grow.
