Deadlines

What is so cool about them?

I think deadlines are cool because we[students] like to play games with them. Although we know they are fast approaching we still go in circles in a battle to say "I will fight until you get here". So in a sense they keep us busy. Why we can't get something done before the deadline is a question asked long ago. So we go do this, usually something that has no deadline and doesn't serve a great purpose. And then when we realize we have another couple of days we go do that. Finally the "D" is tomorrow or in a couple of hours, and we pull together all of our energy and brain cells to push for the finish. At this point, you're simply motivated to get the job done, rather than do the best job. So for the future, how to not play games, but rather be part of the game(finish ahead of time!)
