I see it :)

As cheesy as it sounds, I think my purpose has come into the light. For some reason I have the urge and want to dedicate all the knowledge and experiences that I acquire in the west to help the children of the land that I love so much.

I remember 2 years ago when we were leaving our home town to go the next big city, as there is not flight from our local airport. We were going through the deep mountains and rugged roads across Balochistan. And out of nowhere, in the deserted sand road there was two boys standing near the pathway. One was of 10 years old and the other one looked to be 18-20. They were standing there to sell some "puthroonk". A leaf picked from under the rocks in the mountains of Balochistan, it can be used in cooking or just eaten by itself. It grows only in it's season. I was shocked. They stand there all day in the middle of nowhere hoping to sell these (almost rotten) leaves for something. So my dad bought them, and gave alittle bit more than they expected.

When we were near the end of our trip, I always remember the scene of an old Baloch woman walking through the deep/dark and deserted mountains all by herself! She was probably heading home from getting water or somewhere else. It was the scariest place to be all by yourself. But here was this old woman so dedicated to get to her destination(home?) and not even complaining. This is the woman that deserves a nice path way to walk on, a nice car to sit in (in the 21st century atleast).

So with this, I want to tell these kids there is something for them. They can actually do something for themselves and it's possible to go somewhere. I care about them so much. I don't adore any Baloch who puts their nose in the air when seeing someone with older shoes. For goodness sakes, it would be nice to help them in any sense. I know this is what I want to do. I have planned to go there for a journey and a trip to Balochistan next April of 2010. Not to just see family, but to see my country in person. I can't wait, I can't wait to experience all the emotions and sights it has for me!
