Dear internet

I have been about this for a month now. How the internet has impacted my life
Of course we see so many benefits, and it's made our life so much easier. In simple things such as finding directions (google maps), looking for a job, or information about schools. It's made life so easy and convenient.
But I realized it's had such a negative impact on me as well. Not to be negative -- but I'm sure I'm not the only one with this opinion.
Internet has given me so many activities for my time (by simple sitting and not requiring alot of movement on my part). It's helped to kill a lot of time that would have caused me to be bored.
On the whole, I think I've almost become an internet addict. I check my email often, now I've started using facebook again, and I depend on alot of information from the internet.
Because of the internet, I met a person that impacted my life for 5 years -- yet I never got to truly know this person. In a sense, he just came into my life to kill another part of me.
It's had an impact on our family. I'm sure, there are many families with similar stories.
I think we've come to depend too much on our blackberry and internet -- the irony is, these blackberry phones have added features that allow you to check your facebook and other "crazy-yet-unnecessary" internet needs. Really, you can't wait to come home in the evening to reply to a facebook photo comment? I think this is ridiculous.
I've suddenly started to become anti-internet. But I can't fully avoid it, I need it for my own use, but I want to brush up and twist how I use it.
