Randy

I extremely LOVE Randy Pausch! There were only two people good enought to be called "admirers" on my list. They were the only two people that I respected so much and idolized. I've never been a fan of idolizing stars or famous famous. But Randy has been added on to that list! I truly believe he was sent as a messenger - as someone who was meant to sent from God!

His success with the last lecture - his words - his situation (cancer - limited number of years, months, weeks and days to live) is from God. For someone who is so amazing, for someone who did so many amazing things in his simple life, he was given a test that just tests all emotions. For someone who truly knows how to live, who put so much effort to live the right way, was stolen of that life. His life was cut short, when he loved living. While evidently there are others who choose misery sometimes, who depend on medication to build up their spirit. It's ironic.

I try to watch his videos and his famous "Last Lecture" whenever I can. It just serves as a motivator -

I truly respect this man. The respect and love he shows the world for his wife is amazing - a lot of people comment "If we only have more people like Randy in this world" - but that's the point, there aren't so many of him in this world. His success with this one video was all for a reason - he was meant to show what "we" can do, and what we should be doing. So it's possible for some of us to change and maybe there will be more Randy in this world. May he rest in peace and I'm excited/happy I ran into his video.
